In his book, Light on Life BKS Iyengar gives us a sequence to help us develop Emotional Stability. When the given sequence is followed it relaxes a person totally. At first the mind is calmed, the body is quieted and eventually through this practice the student is allowed to experience inner silence. The result is an overall feeling of wellness and deep rest.

In this workshop, you will explore the Parivrtta action within yoga poses. Parivrtta means revolved, turned around, or back. The twists bring awareness of the spinal could as the center and how to revolve the body around that source of alignment. These poses "massage" the inner organs and are rejuvenating and cleansing for the body so the mind can be free.
