Gentle: A slower paced class. Suitable for beginners, seniors, or those recovering from injury, illness.
Level I: The basics of standing poses are taught along with Sarvangasana (shoulder stand). This level can be continued for some time to refine understanding and gain strength and flexibility.
Level II: Level I is a pre-requisite. Standing poses will be refined along with introduction to Sirsasana (headstand), backbends, full arm balance. Other intermediate poses will be taught.
Level III: For students well practiced in the Iyengar method who can hold Sirsasana for 5 minutes away from the wall, push up into Urdhva Dhanurasana, come into Adho Mukha Vrksasana independently. A regular home practice is well-established.
Level II/III: Standing poses are well-established, inversions including Sirsasana, Handstand, Pinca Mayurasana, Sarvangasana as well as backbends are included.
